FrioFrio is a small, independent ice cream company created by the James Beard recognized, award-winning chef & owner of Angel Food Bakery, Katy Gerdes. Alongside Chris Weber, the two have been making tasty frozen treats since 2014 out of all kinds of fresh fruit, veggies and other unique ingredients (basil, avocado & gummy bears to name a few!). Started as a food truck, FrioFrio now has it's own ice cream shop tucked at the back of Angel Food Bakery where you’ll find their signature flavors in decadent ice cream & sorbets, as well as their Macaron Ice Cream Cookie Sammies (which immediately developed a cult following). Top it all off with a craft cocktail (21+) and a killer, dog-friendly patio for your BEST. SUMMER. EVER.


MEET CHRIS

Chris is an energetic fella whose energy either comes from all the gummy candies he eats or from his excitement for life. Either way his colorful personality only helps inspire new ice lollie flavors. He enjoys wearing red sneakers, everything soccer, telling jokes that no one gets and wandering into bakeries. Bad habits include making funny sounds, not calling his mom enough, collecting fancy whiskey and singing along to Tom Petty songs.

 

MEET KATY

Katy is a know it all in the best sense of the word. She owns Angel Food Bakery, coaches snowboarding, loves competing on reality TV and is a human GPS. All of her knowledge comes into play when she masterfully creates ice cream and frozen treats. In her free time she likes to get her butt kicked at CrossFit, watch cheesy sitcoms and makes plans to rule the world with her cats Boris & Nuke.
